Kilmurry says the theatre's willingness to work with a new breed of writers and actors doesn't mean they are turning their back on their traditional base of well-known faces and plays. Reucassel and Taylor made their Ensemble debut this year in Williamson's romantic comedy Jack of Hearts, but for the 2017 season they bring with them Andrew Hansen. He is also hoping to nurture a long-running relationship with the Chaser comedy team, as Craig Reucassel and Chris Taylor return to the stage in Neville's Island, a comedy about four businessmen who become trapped in the wilds of Tasmania after a team-building exercise goes horribly wrong. Kilmurry has programmed 10 plays for the 2017 season, launched on Monday night, including Williamson's Odd Man Out and Misto's Lip Service.
